This place was fantastic. The food, service and overall atmosphere. I went in today with my girlfriend for dinner. We don't live in the area at all so we just walked in. We had a show at 8pm and it was 6pm. They sat us right away and took our order. Again the food was amazing. We loved the fired calamari, house salad, shrimp francese and chicken Marsala. I highly recommend this place.

I came here on a Saturday night with the boyfriend and his family, and there was almost a line going out the door. Yes, this place is packed on weekends! And you don't have to look too far to figure out why: the food is amazing. I don't even like Italian food all that much, but seriously, this place is really good. Every Italian place is not complete with complementary bread on the table, right? This place is obviously no exception, but their rolls were one of the best, if not the best, rolls I've ever had! They were VERY soft and doughy, and the waitress always gave us a fresh batch. Paired with butter or with one of your pasta dishes' sauce, it's one of the best things ever. At the end of the meal, I was so stuffed, but I still kept on nibbling on bread because it was that good. Ok, enough about my love for the bread. My boyfriend ordered fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, and they topped it off with this yummy balsamic vinagrette sauce. The mozzarella wasn't bad (I liked the tomato + balsamic more though) ! The meal entrees were good too. I got the Chicken Marsala, and the chicken was very moist and tender. The brown Marsala sauce was spiced just the way I like it. Heavenly. This dish, in case you're wondering, was $17.50 (a tiny pricey, but totally worth it) I tried some pasta with pink sauce (I think it's the vodka sauce?) and that wasn't bad too. I also tried someone's breaded chicken with bruscheta, and that was so good as well. Pastas were around $10-$12 each. By the time we were done with our meal, the line to get into the restaurant was literally out the door. That is probably a testament to how great this place is!

Had some errands to run in Westbury on thursday so after taking care of some business at Century21, I was feeling a little hungry. I asked the clerk at C21 about good food in the area, and she directed me to Mama Theresa's. And she was right, the food was good! The atmosphere is pleasant enough and the help was attentive. I was seated immediately even at lunchtime so consider myself fortunate. They have an incredible carry out business and adds to the excitement of the restaurant. I had a stuffed mushroom appetizer that was good and the lemony bath that it was in was good for sopping with bread. The hanger steak special that was offered was better than ok, but there was so little meat in a sea of fries that I wish it came on a smaller plate-- you know... perspective. I only sampled the fries and finished with a cup of coffee. Price was reasonable and did not feel either great or terrible about the experience. If you want good food in a nice environment, you'll do well here.

I was quite disappointed coming here. I heard this place was great for a long time and I wanted to give it a shot. The hype was the pizza, but I didn't try it because it was an absurd $3.50 for a round slice, and you would expect a Sicilian to be a dollar more, but its the same price as the round. How can you charge the same for a round and a Sicilian. That ridiculous price equates to $18 for a pie. I'm sorry Teresa, your name is not Lombardi's or Grimaldi's, you cant charge as much as them. I had the sausage hero in which the bread was soggy and the sausage was salty. My date had a pesto pasta dish which she loved, and the bread that came out was fresh and good. The pricing for dinner was customary (15-19 for chicken...10-16 for pasta), which makes their pizza prices that much more ridiculous

This place is great for clams, antipasto, and fried calamari. I've also been highly impressed with every type of pizza I've ever ordered here (last time I had the buffalo chicken). While I only get to visit once every couple years since I live in California, this is always on my list of places to eat when i'm back in New York. Their bread is also soft and very moist. I can't think of a single complaint I've ever had about this place! Apart from the food, this place also has excellent service and is a great family restaurant. The past couple times I've gone have been with parties of 8-12 people, and they were able to accomodate our group quite easily.

I had a pretty good slice here, hot and crispy... Just they way it should be.

Excellent pizzas. Linguine with white clam sauce is out of this world.

When compared to myriad pizzeria/italian restaurant combinations on Long Island, Mama Theresa's is by far my favorite. In all of the years I have been frequenting this establishment, I cannot recall having a bad meal. These days I generally stick to the grilled chicken over house salad, which I know is boring, but it never disappoints, and has good ingredients, like olives, mozzarella cheese, and vinegar peppers. While I love their red sauce (it's pretty simple, not too sweet and just the right amount of acidity), my favorite dish on the menu is their chicken marsala. In terms of pasta, I'm a fan of the melanzane and calamari giardina. Portions are generous. Entrees are generally in the high teens, but come with salad or pasta. All considering, the price point is very reasonable for the quality of food.

    (4)
  • Son V.

I ordered the steak salad and it was the truth. Delivery was quicker than expected but the food was real good. It was a little costlier than expected but nonetheless the food and service were of high quality. I'd eat here again.

  • John K.

Used to be good. Guys behind the counter would now rather BS with each other than take orders. They serve cold slices because they're not paying attention. Small soda looks like its served in a shot glass. The owner needs to do some house cleaning, hire a real manager or get his kid back behind the counter. Place has gone down hill

  • Keiko C.

Very casual, not a fancy date night spot but good solid food. Don't think you'll be disappointed. Always busy at both locations (westbury and east meadow). Entrees are good, pizza is good for LI. Dessert is usually a problem. It's a short list and they're usually out of everything (at least at the east meadow location). Nothing bad to say, nothing stellar either but i would continue to go back.

Some of the best Italian food on Strong Island!!!

  • Pete Z.

Very good place. Glad I took the advice of previous reviews. Had a dish called pasta pesto rosso. Was penne with a brown sauce and chicken on it. Hard to describe but was very good. Large portion that I was able to finish! Might be back tomorrow if corporate dinner plans fall thru like tonight!

Casual spot with great food at reasonable prices. Can't beat that!

Can anyone explain to me why decent pizza is so hard to find in this area? There is something like 1.6 pizza shops for every person living in the tri-state area (ok ok, I just made that up). Mama Theresa's is about as good as I've found lately. The buffalo chicken pie is great... some of the best I've had. The other slices are pretty good to. Quality- and taste-wise, a 4 star all the way. However, price is a little bit much (for pizza), so I almost knocked this place down to a 3 (come on yelp, when are you going to let me give different stars for quality, price, etc?).

    (4)
  • Jean P.

We stopped in for lunch after shopping til we almost literally dropped at Century 21, and what a find! Delicious fried calamari appetizer came with fresh garlicky dipping sauce, and was enough to share with at least four people. For an entree, I got the lunch portion of spaghetti and meatballs; the portion size was perfect and the taste was just what I was hoping for. My husband got the chicken panini and reported that it was really good (he was surprised at the fresh mozzarella but apparently enjoyed it). Service was very efficient and the price was reasonable. If I lived closer I would go there all the time! Thanks NY Yelpers for the tip - I looked the place up while my husband was trying on shirts at Century 21, and you're the reason we tried it out!

    (5)
  • Beth f.

Seriously, the order taker was extremely rude and actually hung up on me twice. I hope the pizza exceeds the expectations that Yelpers have cited that this is good pizza! I am new to the area and this had good ratings. Customer service is important and this is not setting a good tone.

I hate to do it. The food is 5 stars. But the service is sooooo bad you just can't overlook it anymore which knocks this one down to 3 stars at best. This is the Westbury MT location We've eaten here many times and I think because the place is so busy they figure they don't have to worry about customer service anymore. Past two visits we had the same scenario. We were seated. bread came. No server. Waited 15 minutes. I asked the hostess if she could get us a server. Nothing. Wait a few more minutes, a bus boy walks by and I asked him to get a server. He says I'll take your order. We gave it to him. we got our food, never had anyone stop at the table. We ate, got the check and left. Figured Ok things happen once in a while. Went back Saturday night after the rush at 9:30 place was half full. We sat down in the center isle right near the kitchen. You couldn't miss us sitting there. Bread showed.up. No server. Waited a while, I tried getting some of the servers attention as they rushed by but it seems like they're all trained not to look at a\the customers. I finally got a servers attention by tugging on her arm as she went by and asked her to get our server. She said what do you want? We gave our order, never to see her again. someone else delivered the food, was it the server assigned to our table? Who knows. Had to beg for a check and left. So, Is the food great yes, but the service needs a major overhaul. Nassau is filled with red gravy pizza pasta places and I won't put up with service like that.

I'm from of the old school, mom and pop Spaghetti Meatballs, Long Island family; therefore, you were very accomodating to my order. Your place was recommended by a nearby extended stay. I was in tonight by myself and ordered the Bolagnese add meatballs, sub Spaghetti and it was absolutely great. The Caesar sald was perfect, fresh and I enjoyed every bite. Your wait staff is very attentative as well and restaurant was VERY clean, which are absolute pluses in my book. I promise to be back to try your Eggplant Rolatini, another favorite. Only bad side, I ate everything on my plates. Thank you for a great dinner.

  • Jonathan L.

Quintessential NY pizza. I did feel though that their was excess fatty residue from the pepperoni pizza. But I just ended up dabbing it with a paper towel. Nevertheless, Mama Theresa's is a good choice if you're in the mood for a pie.

My office has been ordering from them for years for business meetings and birthday parties. Unfortunetly, service and quality has slipped. Latest example, I went there for lunch this week. Saw a sign in the window for Meatball Parm hero for $7.95. They charged me $11.50 saying that is was for "dine in only". I told them I was eating it there, but said it was for only table service. I finally got my hero and they gave it to me "to-go". It was a gloppy mess of soggy bread, a gallon of red sauce, and the meat balls were in there somewhere. I showed it to the counter people and they said, "That's the way we serve it". I threw it out right in front of them and let. Too bad, they used to be good.

OOO! I would come here all the time with my former love and his family. This restaurant has three locations all in Long Island: East Meadow, Westbury, and Garden City Park. The pizza and pasta are amazing! It's close to authentic Italian cuisine as you can get. The pizza is very flavorable and tasty which is surprisingly good quality in Long Island. It's family oriented and kid friendly. The salads are good as the dressing is not sagging on the bottom. I don't believe they have Chicken Marsala on the menu accompanied with a good red wine.

    (5)
  • Diana H.

I have only been here twice and both times was for take out. VERY VERY good pizza but the reason for the 4 stars is because the service when its busy is pretty weak. You will NOT regret getting the buffalo chicken pizza, the crispano or a regular slice. I will update my review once I go for a sit down dinner.

  • Denise R.

OMG, THE EGGPLANT PIZZA IS TO DIE FOR!!!! EVERY time I come here, that's what I order, lol. Cannot get enough! Go, Mama Theresa!

Favorite local Italian eatery. Nothing fancy, but food is decent.

    (4)
  • Winns S.

The food here is good. It's right in the neighborhood and fresh. Don't get the eggplant slice though! The last one I got there the eggplant was saturated and I mean SATURATED in oil. One bite and my mouth was filled with oil. Gag. Service, I hate the service there. They are never friendly, and they make me feel like I'm bothering them when I want to order or when I'm trying to decide what I want. So I go else where. =) People, service is key.

Nothing particularly noteworthy about Mama Theresa's. This is your basic pizzeria/restaurant serving decent pizza and specialty slices. Never actually had a sit-down dinner here, but the restaurant portion of this establishment is usually pretty crowded. I usually come in for the pizza and it is good most of the time, however, it is nothing special.

Just ate there recently. Would give the food about a 6. Ordered manicotti but felt the ingredients weren't fresh.

  • Rich S.

Food is good. Pizza is ok. Much better options for pizza in the area. Service is horrible. Like one of the worst I have ever had to deal with. I stopped going in now because of the lack of any good people behind the counter. Never going back and I suggest you don't bother.

Everything I ever had here was awesome....right down to the bread and water! You have to try this place out...any of the locations will be good.

I never thought I'd have to write a bad review for my beloved Mama Theresa's, but unfortunately, I have to. I am the second person at work who has gotten food posioning from this location. My coworker got sick on the salad, and now I have too. I ate there on Saturday afternoon, and by Monday morning, I'm still eating dry cheerios and drinking Gatorade.

one of my absolute favorite places to eat. my boyfriend and i love it, and spend many date nights together here. the pizza is awesome, the pasta is great .. i love the veal.. basically, you cannot go wrong at mama theresa's. it is a casual establishment, and to me nothing is better than having a delicious meal in sweatpants (no need to unbutton jeans afterwards!) if you are in the area.. go here.. you will NOT be disappointed.

  • Jeffrey B.

We drive 15 miles from home to get this pizza. Everything local to us is thin crust and grease soaked. This crust has some character to it, and it's even better when "well done". Haven't tried the "food" yet, but if it is anything like the fresh made pizza, then you can't go wrong.

    (4)
  • Iffat B.

The cheese pizza is so good! I'm not a huge fan of plain cheese pizza, so for me to say it's good is kind of a big deal. I also had the chicken panini which was also really tasty. I'm not sure if it was because I was starving for lunch that day, but I definitely enjoyed it. The panini had chicken, tomato, lettuce, and mozarella cheese on it. Heavenly!

Been going there for years. Food is fresh and always good. Love their tomato based dishes! sooo good. Plus Century 21 Department store is right there, so you can do some shopping! wohooooo!!!! For more reviews visit my blog.

  • Adonis M.

Secretly one of the best eateries around. Yes, it's "chain-like" and lacking in any kind of charm (they're all in strip malls), but the food is consistently excellent. The last time I went I told my wife, "you might think I'm crazy for saying this, but I think Mama T's just might be deserving of consideration for the best pizza in New York."

    (5)
  • Deb R.

Based on Yelp reviews, had lunch at Mama Theresa's in Westbury with some friends. No wait for a table, comfortable dining room, excellent food, great prices. The sausage and sauce on the pizza was really delicious, fresh and abundant. Garlic knots were yummy and hot. Service was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Let's put it this way, when you've Been going to a restaurant for years with the family and you see the same waiters and waitresses, to me, that speaks volumes. And by the way, you have to try their dessert.

The best of the best! Everything I've eaten here was terrific. You cannot beat their Chicken Valdostana and the Gnocchi, pizza, salads, yum!!! Great place, authentic Italian! Excellent!

    (5)
  • Manny N.

Located in a shopping plaza on Old Country Road, this is a pizzeria in the front and sit down / waiter service in the back. I have eaten both their pizza and the sit down service in the back. They have a wide variety of specialty slices, pinwheels, and calzones etc. Their rice balls are delicious! Their "restaurant" section in the back is also delicious. The complimentary bread is served hot and fresh. Their pasta selections are delicious. If you are in the mood for Italian food, try this place....

Great Italian pizza place, for take out or sit down. Their slices are huge and the food is always authentic.

  • Tony M.

My absolute favorite place for really good Italian food on Long Island. I've had so many great meals here, from their grilled balsamic chicken to their baked ziti and many other pasta dishes, their chicken francese and chicken verdi dishes are just delicious. I highly recommend their broccoli rabe for a side dish and their salads are second to none. Their pizzas are amazing also. The wait staff are friendly and prompt and there is plenty of tables for a family dinner or party. Portions are generous and the pricing is reasonable.

    (5)
  • Amy S.

My favorite place to eat on this planet. Everything I have there is just filled with flavor. The panini sandwiches, salads and brocolli rabe are especially 100 steps above anywhere else I have eaten. If I could, Iwould eat there every single day.

    (5)
  • Steven L.

Food was good. Service and atmosphere terrible. Asked for seltzer, then was charged twice when I asked for a refill on half a glass. I had salt pepper and spices on table as a set and a busboy just walked over and without asking removed it and gave to another customer while I was in middle of my meal. This is a place for big families with little kids or who want to share a large pizza pie.

  • Supernova R.

If you are in the area and are in need of a bite to eat, come to this local Long Island spot where your mouth is bound to have a good time. The food here is so good, I have made my best friend bring it to me at work because my lunch time is so short. Overall, this is a great spot to eat at and take out food. Food is ALWAYS fresh and hot!

  • Natasha D.

    delicious and well-cooked sicilian slices.

    (4)
  • Lesley M.

I have eaten in the sit down restaurant in the back with my family quite a few times and we have never been disappointed. My only complaint is that on occasion the portion size of the pasta has been a little small for this type of place. I have also gotten pizza and paninis to take out. and they are awesome.

    (4)
  • Carbon F.

There linguine with white Clam sauce absolutely killed anything I've had in queens or LI. They have late hours during the week as well as the weekends. With the quality of food and the decor, it makes you wonder are you eating in a retro fine Italian restaurant or just a pizzeria? I would only recommend some flat screens and a bar to sit in.

    (5)
  • J G.

I was in town from VA and stopped by after reading some yelp reviews. We just got an 18" Neopolitan "pie" w/ pepperoni. Good stuff, had to fold the slice in true NY style.

  • Savita S.

Wow is all I can say. It's been a week since I had pizza there and I am still thinking about it. I wish I lived closer. It was the freshest and tasiest pizza I have had in a long time ......maybe ever.

    (5)
  • Danielle M.

I have been coming to Mama Theresa's now for years since I live right down the road and the food has always been consistently good. I usually go during the week for lunch and the Pick a Pair lunch specials are reasonably priced and the portions leave you feeling satisfied. Today I ordered the Pick a Pair with the rigatoni bolognese and the Caesar salad and both were delicious. The bolognese sauce is a tad bit creamier than your normal bolognese because I think there may be a tiny bit of cream in it but that's why I love it. What is also good is that I ordered it for take out and the special is still honored. The staff is always friends and service is speedy. I don't go during the weekend because it's packed and you can feel a little bit rushed. Mama Theresa's is a great place for a quick and satisfying lunch.

Pursuant to a review by Tsz-Cheong C., I walked into this "diamond in the rough." My wife and I have frequented the nearby Century 21 Store for deals (steals). We thought that the only good restaurant was Cafe Baci (another Tsz-Cheong C. tip), but this was interesting. Food: we ordered the arugula and prosciutto thin crust whole wheat pizza, which we loved. The pesto pasta was cooked perfectly, but we just felt that we could get more for $9+. I inhaled the warm bread basket and we were given gargantuan cups for our hot water with plenty of lemon. Service: the people here are generally friendly and responsive. Decor: this place is deceptively large and I couldn't tell from the outside whether they were an actual restaurant or a mere pizzeria for take-out. There was ample seating, but many tables were occupied even though it was 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday. I'll likely be back! Thanks, Tsz-Cheong C.!

  • Jennifer Y.

The atmosphere is fun, good for families, and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. I was immediately greeted, which was pleasant considering how busy this place is around lunch time. I got the lunch special of the Caesar's salad and penne ala vodka. The salad was yummy and flavorful, with the dressing mixed in. The dressing was a little strong for me, but besides that personal preference, it was delicious and mildly crisp. The pasta was both rich and light. The sauce coated the pasta without much pooled at the bottom of the dish, which I appreciated. The service was speedy and attentive. The food was well priced. What a great Italian place!

Stopped in for a quick bite during lunchtime and had yet another good experience at Mama T's. Have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. On this occasion I had a couple of slices, including their famous Buffalo Chicken. As usual, I left satisfied and amply full. The staff up front are courteous & efficient and the seating area is well bussed and clean. There is also a full service dining area and I've always been pleased by the service you get when seated there as well. Mama T's had been around for years and with good reason. Good is always good and the pricing is fair/average.

Went to Mama's for lunch again today with my boss and one of our vendors. Couldn't take too many pics because I didn't want to make a spectacle of myself in front of people we do business with lol. I ordered the shrimp monachina again at $22.95. I recommended it highly and my boss and co-worker were convinced by my recommendation and they decided to get it as well. I had it with penne ala vodka and pink sauce which cost $2 extra. It's basically ala vodka without the vodka and pancetta. My co-worker opted to get her pasta with the same Marsala sauce that the meal comes with which I did not know was an option. At first the water asked us if we wanted a lunch portion or a dinner portion but then returned to tell us that the Monachina only comes as a dinner portion and really it not like is an overwhelming amount of food so that was perfectly fine for me. I actually thought the pink sauce was a little more watered down than usual this time. Whenever I've ordered it in the past it's usually rich and creamy. I just threw some extra parmesean on it to enhance the flavor. The Shrimp was just as I remember it. Butterflied and flattened yet so meaty its like you are cutting into chicken. Plenty of sauce to go around on this entree, you will want to dip your bread into it once your food is gone. The service is fantastic as always. Almost too efficient this time. The water came by and brought me a new drink when my current drink was still half full and then wanted to the take the half full one away. I was like ok well you can leave it I will still drink this. That just struck me as a little odd. May be he assumed it was watered down with the ice. Nice gesture I suppose just not necesarry. He even came over to pick up all the little pieces of paper from the napkin holder and the containers of butter and cleared them off the table before the food arrive. Wow can I bring this guy home with me? He seems like a neat freak! Love it. I'm so full right now I wish I could take an after-meal nap but sadly I am still at work so it will have to wait.

No complaints about this pizzeria's service or dining facilities, it was on par with similarly priced sit-down pizzeria's I've visited in the past. Quick service paired with no wait to be seated on a Saturday evening. More than adequate room for diners. Meal came quickly. I ordered the Penne Spinaci in red sauce. Generous serving of spinach in a simple yet satisfying tomato sauce with penne provided for a highly enjoyable dish overall. Spinach was perfect. Portions were take-home worthy and prices extremely reasonable. Would recommend.

Great pizza place. Customer service here is excellent. The manager Marcellino is a sweetheart. The food here is always fresh and they always go out of their way to make their customers happy.

The service here is good. Good place for a quick bite. I love their homemade chicken noodle soup and their salad is awesome. I didn't give it a 5 because although I like their pizza I'm not in love with it.

Whether it's pizza or pasta. Mama T's is always a good spot for a nice quick Italian meal. I've been to East Meadow and New hyde Park and they are all the same level of goodness. The pizzeria items are always hard to pass up. They make a good pizza, calzone, chicken roll and some tasty riceballs- just make sure they are hot... last time both the calzone and the riceballs were a little cold in spots and it tainted what would have been a delicious meal.

Most amazing Sicilian slice. Mmm. I used to go to the one on Jericho Take and can honestly say it is equally good in quality. They have a nice variety, salad w grilled chicken is yumm, especially with the blend of dressing they use.

  • Lesley O.

Stopped in tonight for Tortellini en Brodo soup to feed the cold since I'm tired of chicken soup at this point & I also noticed that they have a few different slices at this location then the East Meadow location. I don't know if it's because I'm just so used to the East Meadow location being my go to spot but I just like East Meadow better. The pizza is awesome in Westbury but the food I've had in Westbury & the service is just better in East Meadow. Yet, with that being said, Mama Theresa's is still by far one of if not THE BEST Italian food you can truly find anywhere in LI, possibly even NY. I've been to hundreds of Italian spots & most can't hold a candle to Mama's. It truly is the very best of the best & when I don't know what I want to eat, I always just end up there because I know that no matter what I order, it's going to be superb & I'll have lunch tomorrow. Love this place!!

As we live nearby, we have often gone here and still do. For years I would have given it 5 stars, but it was recently sold and not everything is as good as it was. Pizza is great, though the crust could be crispier. Excellent salads and the stffed mushrooms are good as a starter. I tend to eat the Chicken Valdostana and it it well done, with a nice mushroom gravey. You can get it with pasta, but I usually got the escarole, though since it changed hands it has been bland and a bit undercooked. Don't normally get desert, but the espresso is first rate. All in all, it is still a good family italian restaurant, though a bit off what it once was.

A year and a half ago I would have given them 5 stars with no hesitation but things have gone down hill. It all relates back to once they changed their menu. Portions are now smaller with increased prices per dish. That doesn't make sense to a customer especially a regular. Our dinner experience last night was disappointing. The part of our meal that used to be our favorite was the salad -- the dressing is to die for. But it was different, we couldn't pin point it but something was off. Following was our entrees, we had 2 Chicken Cardinali's and 2 Chicken Valdostana's. Like I said earlier, portions are smaller. My mom and dad had the cardinali and let's just say they wouldn't order it again. My brother and I had the Valdostana which was left in the heater too long crisping the chicken and drying it out. Flavor was there though. This used to be my favorite place to come growing up, not anymore. And this review was not just myself, my family all had said the same thing. We used to love this place. I am not sure we will even go back.

Solid choice for decent quick Italian food. The pizza is always yummy. The servers seem a little scattered brain and there always appears to be 3 hosts so make sure you don't wander from the line. Beware of this place on the weekends, very busy

Done w/them. We picked up our take out order (only because Vito's is closed) and it is wrong. I understand it is Mothers Day, but its 8pm the rush is over and they can't get a simple calzone right. I ordered ham & Cheese, I got a cold cheese calzone. Done.

I started off with fried calamari ... Fresh bread... And a green side garden salad. I followed that up with grilled salmon with rigatoni ; garlic and olive oil. Everything was delicious and freshly made. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and I'll definitely come back.

I've been coming here for years and the quality of food has definitely been consistently good. I feel like the prices have definitely gotten a lot higher over the years, which is something I'm not in love with but I'll live with. The house salad is one of my favorite dishes mostly because of their dressing. I don't know how they make it, but I have yet to find a restaurant that can make it better. I would say the portions for the entrees are satisfying - if you're paying about $20 for two pieces of chicken with a side of either salad or pasta, they better be decently sized. This is a place I will continue going to, but maybe not too often since I feel like they are asking a bit much for most of the items on their menu.

I work around the corner but hardly go in for lunch ..nothing special reg slice of pizza ok grandma sizes decent nothing to brag about. Today call in order for grilled chicken salad you think pretty simple but at the end I left there with no grilled chicken and no fork to eat my salad.. I paid for a grilled chicken salad just got salad.. not good . Not good at all!

Great service whether you sit in the front or the back. I had the lentil soup and the chicken soup both flavorful and filling. Also had the salad slice which has a great Italian dressing. The house wine, merlot, sealed the deal. I will be back.

Pizza is always not that good and food is not worth the price. The portions aren't big and the cheese doesn't taste fresh.

One of our favorite restaurants on Long Island. My fiancé and I have been here countless times and we have never had a bad meal! Calamari is amazing, pasta dishes and entrees are delish, and the pizza is also really good!

If there were a way to do zero stars I would have. I prefer to know who I eat meals with and roaches are never invited! If they had one in the dining room... Then who knows how bad their kitchens and storage areas are! Let's start with the pros... The food was okay. No complaints on my prosciutto and arugula pizzetta. My husband got the pick two. He said his baked chicken panini was actually pretty good but the tortellini soup was pretty blah But that's where everything fell apart. The cons... First the guy came over to take or order then ignored us for 10 minutes after we just needed a minute more. After sitting for a couple minutes we had a friendly insect visitor to our booth after which we barely got a "oh sorry about that" from the guy who we had to ask to kill it. If not for our already ordered food we were ready to leave. After that little incident, our waiter came with our food and slammed down my husbands soup before coming back with the rest of our food. He only came back to ask us how our food was when giving us our check, which was of course charged incorrectly. So after having to get his manager to refund and recharge us correctly we made sure to check that everything we ordered was charged properly! Needless to say, considering our lunch guest and the terrible service, we will NEVER be going back there for food ever again!

Zero complaints anytime I've been here. The food quality is top-notch, and the portion sizes are great. My last visit for example, I had a lunch special "pick 2" for $10, where there were 5 categories, Salad, Soup, Pizza, Panini, and Pasta w/ sauce. Within those 5 categories there were about 5-7 different things to choose from. I went with a Panini and a Pizza. The panini was absolutely one of my favorites I've ever had. A large grilled chicken breast with Melted Mozz. Cheese on both sides, Tomatoes, Lettuce, and the best part was the soft, yet crispy garlic bun, I literally almost lost it. The half pizza was also very good, but I couldn't wait to get back to the panini. The servers here are always professional and courteous, but I notice they aren't as personable, which is fine because they make up for it with their professionalism. This place is great for a lunch/dinner with family/friends, and can seat a pretty large group if needed.

Ask for the house salad, the house wine, and pick from their daily special. Keep it simple and you will not go wrong. Maybe a tad bit loud, but not unbearable.

My absolute favorite Italian spot. Nice family run restaurant with decent parking. it's not really fancy but it does have nice wait staff and a decent dining room. Must have are their salads with their homemade Italian dressing and fresh mozzarella...yum! they give you a basket of fresh baked bread and will refill it for free! be careful not to overeat on the bread because the portions are really large. the one bad thing is there are no refills on the drinks and several drinks definitely jack up the final bill. They also don't take reservations but if you call and tell them you are coming with a large group they will try their best. My family went to celebrate my sister's birthday and their 16 of us and they saved a table for us and accommodated us with no problem and no wait. Overall, great-- you must go!

Very clean from floor to ceiling. Food is really good. I've been there a few times and I've tried the eggplant mozzarella sandwich, very tasty and delicious not to forget fresh. I've also tried their chicken roll which was nice and crispy outside, th chicken was juicy and nicely seasoned inside, with perfectly balanced amount of cheese and tomato sauce. Their pizza slices are good too although I prefer mine crispy. They tend get very busy for lunch. Staff could be nicer and smile more. They are too serious. When I asked the staff about their wifi, instead of letting me know that it might not be available for public or whatever the case, they just rudely said they don't know and walked a way. Didn't even make an attempt to find out. I felt the floor staff doesn't care about customer service. Otherwise I would have given 5. The guys behind the pizza counter However are very nice and polite.

I love this place......showed Rich W. this place...he gave it a thumbs up. I asked him.....why can't places like this be in Manhattan?! I have to come allllll the way to Long Island for these price points, portion sizes, this style of food, family oriented and great tasting. It was super duper packed on a Saturday....that is all I need to say! We had the Stuffed Mushrooms, Pecan Salad where the pecans were candied, Fusilli Campagnola and ended with a Tiramisu....where one of the other waiters didnt know what it was until our great waiter came back....Wonderful kid. We walked out...happy, full and our wallets didn't suffer much....4 course dinner for 2 people.....with tax and tip.....$52. FUUUULLLLL TO THE GILLS! Better than Manhattan prices! I felt as if I was eating at a Italian family's restaurant, Mama Theresa, I love you!

Delicious Italian food at reasonable prices. Listen people, you can't go wrong here for lunch or dinner. The Broccoli rabe with sausage hero is to die for! The sandwich is perfectly blended with enough garlic where you won't clear the room after consuming it and at $8.50, that's a steal. The salad platters are great as well, try the tuna or grilled chicken salad platter with fresh mozzarella shredded on top, The wait staff are friendly and quick. If you are in a rush they also have a pizza take out counter when you first walk in. Go early, the parking lot fills up quickly since the outback steak house and Century 21 department store is located in the same lot.

Every now and then you catch a place to eat lunch on the fly. That is how we found Mama Teresa Pizzeria and it was a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere 75 Clean, comfortable casual surroundings. Service 75 It was a pizzeria, but someone did come to the table. Food 80 Good considering the venue Value 75 I've eaten much better, but then at a higher price. If you in the area and are looking for a place to eat I would recommend Mama Teresa's. Just remember - its a pizzeria.

Great food but very poor customer service. Bad waiter and unwilling manager. There was a mix up with gift cards and he was completely unwilling to help in the situation and honor what we had. Last time we go there

This restaurant has been a staple of ours for year, but this and the last time we dined here the food was just ok. Prices went up and portions, which are still good, are not what they once were. I might be rethinking going back. Fresh rolls on table are still good.

Mama Theresa's is Mumble City. What do I mean by that? Every employee mumbles! I swear they do not open their mouths when they speak! After being seated, our waiter stopped by to take our drink order but the only reason I knew that was because I asked him to repeat himself three times. I digress. We started with a Caesar salad (looked good), a house salad (one of the best I've ever had), and an order of garlic bread (HUGE portion). Our entrees came out a bit after, which was nice since this gave us some time to enjoy our salad and bread. I had the chicken ala vodka minus the mushrooms because well....I hate mushrooms. The chicken was cooked to perfection, however, the sauce definitely needed something. I wouldn't say it needed mushrooms but it wasn't a traditional vodka sauce and a bit disappointing. One of my friends had the same dish and agreed with me. Our other friend had fettuccine alfredo. She said the pasta tasted great but the sauce wasn't heavy enough for alfredo. Something about that sauce.... After Mr. Mumbles aka our waiter returned, we each ordered a cappuccino. Very yummy, covered in cinnamon, and hot hot hot. The total for 3 of us was $71, which isn't terrible. Now if only they could do something about their staff learning to speak without mumbling.

Came here for lunch and the food was awful. The waiter barely spoke English and was rude. The pene ala vodka was watered down in so much cream sauce that the sauce wasn't the normal color looked almost white and the past was so hard. Bread was cold and they don't have any Snapple drinks? The one in GARDEN CITY is so much better. Better food and better service. Would NOT recommend.

this place has the absolute best chicken francese i have had anywhere! the sauce is buttery and lemony like it should be a thick to give a nice coating. They also have an outrageous potato and egg panini which is a must for breakfast or lunch!!!!

Shopping at Century 21 and needed a quick bite, Mother Theresa's delivers (actually I don't think they do delivery). Eggplant rollatini, excellent! House salad with their delicious house dressing - perfect! The pizza here is great too. As close to standard Brooklyn pizza as you can get. I eat here regularly as it is very close to the office and they never disappoint. Good food both sit down and a quick slice as well as good prices, a real neighborhood gem!

This is a great restaurant for family-style dinner or lunch. So far after two visits I enjoyed every dish I have tried. My last visit was for lunch and we tried the Rigatoni Florentina $9.95 lunch size- delicious, sauce is not too heavy; you'll need more bread to wipe up the creamy pink sauce on plate. The lunch dish has plenty of spinach and chicken pieces to satify any hungry person. Linguine La Toscana $10.95 lunch size- fresh, delicious, and favorful. The broccoli rabe with sauteed shrimp is nicely done in white wine. The toasted pignoli nuts gets the dish additional texture and flavor. FYI: Mama Theresa's has three locations on Long Island.

No matter which location you go to I highly doubt there will be any disappointment. It is a sit down restaurant where you will get a really nice dining experience, but if your in the mood to grab a slice of pizza and jet out- Mama T's will fit the bill! Ive never had a bad dining experience here. The waiters are friendly, get the order correct and bring the food out pretty quickly. Their pizza is really good. If you have the chance to, do yourself a favor and get rice balls. They come 2 to an order, they are really big and a good quick appetizer without putting you over the edge. Two other good apps to choose from are the mozzerela sticks (no brainer) and fried zucchini. Im not a fan of zucchini but Ill eat it here friend. The marinara sauce that comes with all three appetizers that I mentioned is delicious. My go to pasta dish is Rigatoni Ala Vodka- rigatoni pasta, vodka sauce, shallots and prosciutto- amazing. The shallots give it such a nice sweet kick and the prosciutto is extra tasty (they arent cheap with the portion size either). I normally get 2-3 meals out of it, at the very least you should have lunch for the next day. If you're looking for something bigger- their Chicken Francese is like crack. Two pretty large pieces of chicken, tons of sauce (dont forget to soak it up with the bread!) and a side of pasta. You have your choice of pasta and sauce (may need to pay extra for it) but I must have it with angel hair and the francese lemon sauce. I also get another meal or so out of it. Oh and what else is super cool- free refills on soda- I really don tknow any places out there that still do this. Enjoy!

Another great pizza spot in the area. And don't be afraid to check out their full menu. It can run a little $$ but their tuna salad is great, and the bread is delightful. The buffalo chicken pizza is a fan favorite in our house. We tried to big rice balls once too - YUMMMY! Never too busy in the restaurant and a good fall back to hop in and grab a yummy lunch or dinner!
